Found: valentine's day edition

A little while ago, I picked up the copy of Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam off the shelf, and what did I find? A ripped out magazine page with an excerpt from "Dear Dating Computer" by Bill Adler from 1968.

These little letters are all so funny, but I have to say that my absolute favorite:
"Dear Computer,
That last girl you found for me (Mary Curtis) was sure a sweet, understanding nice young lacy. I certainly enjoyed her company.
Now let's go to work and find a not-so-nice girl who wants to go to bed.
Respectfully,
Howard J."

I also like the bit about the mild sleeping pill in the scotch while romantic sounds play on the hi-fi. So funny.

Epic! There's so much to learn from these pearls of wisdom. First and foremost that apparently all women named Betty are slutty*. I mean really Betty P. and Betty K.? At least make them work for it a little :).

*My apologies to anyone reading this blog named Betty. It's not you, it's just your name. My advice: Stick to reading Archie comics, in those it was Veronica who was the slut :)
