Have You Heard: Footloose

Yesterday at the gym, sitting in the quiet of the sauna, one of my favorite songs, Footloose (yes, I said "favorite"- judge away)  came on my iPod. I have listened to this song hundreds of times (I've seen the movie it was from .5 times.) but yesterday I heard something I'd never heard before. Between seconds :05-:12, right as the bass has come in, there is some weird Kenny Loggins' vocalizing. Have you heard this before? Am I the last to know? Is this why you judged me for having this as one of my favorite songs?

The trouble is, I am now wondering if I'll like one of my old classics less because of it. It's pretty obnoxious - but I haven't noticed it until now. So maybe there's hope? Why Kenny Loggins? Why?

Found: kid gloves.

I have a lot of gloves. But I don't have a pair of blush colored leather gloves, which is why I thought I needed these gloves. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed who's name was inside.

Wouldn't it be nice to be clever enough to buy this on purpose? Oh well. I'll take an accidental Dior purchase any day of the week.

cacao drink chocolate

When my dear friend, Rachel was in town a few weeks ago, we went to Cacao. Cacao is a place that is serious about chocolate. They have hundreds of varieties of bars and a bunch of handmade deliciousness. Despite the fact that it is 15 minutes from my home, I have been there 4 times in the past 3 years. I am simply not allowed to go. The drinking chocolate there is like heaven. Unlike Spanish and French drinking chocolates, it is only thickening agent is chocolate itself. 72% Chocolate and cream. That's it. It is so delightful.
While we were there we were chatting with the guy behind the counter, getting the scoop on all of the different kinds of bars, he told us that a woman comes in every day to get a cup of the drinking chocolate. They've even made a larger size for her - maybe it's because I'm so infrequent a customer, but the smallest size they offer, is too rich to handle in one sitting. Sometimes this woman comes in twice a day. I was gobsmacked by this little egg of knowledge, and instantly SO CURIOUS about this woman. He said that she will get some and put it in the fridge and eat it like a pudding, and that he had done that also and it is delicious. I was so intrigued by this that I got my shot to go, and put it in the fridge. The next morning I ate some of it, and promptly decided that those two chocoholics were nutso, it is absolutely better warm.
When I found this photo on my phone, I remembered the anecdote about this woman who needs the largest size of drinking chocolate, and I kind of want to stake out cacao and try to discover who this woman is, and maybe be on hand to call the paramedics when she needs one.

So this is what coveting feels like.

When I first tore through my January Vogue a few weeks ago, I spotted several of the beautiful Prada shoes that I fell for during the Spring runway show in a spread called, "Brief Encounters."

Now, I can't seem to get them off my mind. (I also rather like the blue Prada suit that Grace paired with the red woven shoes. Gold star!) It's as though Miuccia Prada and Grace Coddington have implanted something in my brain. Can I also say, that Daria Werbowy is also driving one of my all time favorite cars? Gee whiz, color me jealous.

I am also coveting the Kate Spade jacket I saw first on Glee many moons ago, which Shop it To Me has informed me is now under $400. What a steal. ;)

Dear iPhone,

It would be great if your alarms started working again.

Thanks,
